About Potted

I'm Yishai. Potted is my home for small, carefully chosen projects. One at a time, done properly.

Really it's a studio of one. I build the whole thing myself: idea, design, code, and the fiddly bits most people leave for later. Small is the point. It's the only way I can do them well.

The first project

Subbed, a recipe app that keeps everything on your phone. No accounts, no tracking, no ads. It does one thing and stays out of your way.

About me

Started as a chef, then spent eight years in operations and CX at two Ecom SaaS companies (Loox and Rise.ai). I joined Loox at 22 when it was six people and had less than $1M ARR, left running business operations at a VP level with over 140K customers and $30M annual revenue. I've shipped a lot of software with teams. Potted is me shipping it alone.

How I work

Start small. Ship something real. Grow it slowly. Sweat the invisible stuff: fast pages, kind error messages, privacy by default.
